Generating Colonel Sanders thanks to deep learning
During the first COVID-19 quarantine in China, I was blocked at home for 8 weeks straight.
During that time I’ve done a few creative experiments while eating some fried chicken.
For my latest creative drop I fed a deep learning AI a lot of pictures of Colonel Sanders.
I can now generate new “Colonels” on demand. I found the result both hilarious and creepy too so I created a Twitter account @ColonelGeneratr that posts one new Colonel everyday.

This type of experiment aims to explore the impact of new technologies on our creative industry. Right now it is quite funny and innocent to generate fake Colonel Sanders but in the near future, the implication is that brands will be able to create new models and people on the fly.
