Doom Prime - Amazon Inspired Doom Map

For years now Amazon has been portrayed as an evil company. From tax avoidance to anti-competitive practices to poor treatment of workers and safety concerns during the Covid-19 pandemic, the trillion dollar conglomerate is not without a sin. Former employees often refer to their experience as working in hell itself (#1 #2 #3).

I thought the most qualified person to work in these conditions and fix the problem would be the Doom Slayer.
His resume includes few back-and-forths to hell and defeating the icon of sin at least twice. 

So I made an entire Doom map inspired by an Amazon warehouse filled with easter eggs and secrets.
The map itself got pretty positive reviews within the Doom community, and Doom creator and living legend John Romero himself played the map.

Designing and making a video game level has always been a dream of mine. I spent around 200 hours building this map. I wanted to make sure it would be playable, would have a good gameplay and would look great (within the limits of the Doom engine).

I followed John Romero's level design rules, watched countless videos about map making and level design and pushed the amount of details to the maximum. In the end it was all worth it and the map was received extremely well by the online Doom community.

But the biggest acknowledgment came from video game legend and Doom creator himself John Romero, who took the time to check out the map and gave me amazing feedback.
